Should I Combine My PAT Testing & Servicing Appointments?

For anyone that runs a catering or bakery establishment we recommend that they combine their PAT test appointment with servicing their equipment. This helps to ensure that the equipment is in top condition by using this appointment to check how the equipment is running and find any underlying issues before they cause a breakdown. Combining the PAT testing and servicing appointment will help to ensure that the electrical equipment is both legally compliant and kept in good running order.

Choosing to combine these appointments also reduce the amount of time required for an engineer to be on site compared to doing these separately, this helps to reduce the disruption of an engineer needing access to equipment. This is also more important in light of the new normal of social distancing so having two separate visits can increase the risks to both parties. Also less
overall time on site ultimately saves clients money as they wouldn't need to pay two call out fees.
